For sure this year the biggest trend will be Babylights. It can be added on the list of techniques like ombre, balayage, somber and many more that were very trendy last year, but this one is quite different. The technique is quite new and probably will stick for a while. It is inspired by the natural highlights the kids have at the end of the summer from the sun.
The term “Babylights” was created by Jack Howard, a colorist from the London based Neville Hair & Beauty Salon. The style was inspired by bright-haired babies, but this doesn’t mean that the Babylights are only for blondes. The highlights are very soft and velvety, so the technique can be used on every hair color, even on black.
This style will give your hair a very natural look and it will brighten your face. If you want to have more precise highlights color, you can find a picture from your early childhood, where your stylist can see the tone of the natural highlights you had back then.
Unlike the other highlight styles, this one, because of the natural look, blends in perfectly with your hair as it grows, so you can stretch the time between colorings.
